About Sane Strategy

Darren

Founder · Sane Strategy LLC · Fayetteville, Arkansas

I build brands, websites, and software for small businesses. When you hire Sane Strategy, I’m who you get — not an account manager, not a junior handed your project after the pitch.

That’s the whole point. Agencies sell you a team and then staff you with whoever’s free. I’d rather take fewer clients and actually do the work, so the person who scoped your project is the person who builds it and the person who picks up the phone when something breaks two years later.

What I actually do

Design, marketing, and the software underneath.

Most shops stop at the website. I can keep going, which matters when the thing you need doesn’t come in a template.

Brand and print

Logos, stationery, business cards, sell sheets. For Cole White Dental in Fayetteville, that meant the full identity — logo, stationery, and business cards — alongside the website itself.

Websites and content management

Drupal and WordPress builds that you can update yourself. This site runs on Drupal 11.

Custom software

When the tool you need doesn’t exist, I build it. PrepSheet Pro is a full platform for personal chefs and caterers — application, customer relationship management, inventory, and Stripe billing, built end to end.

Straight advice

Sometimes the honest answer is that you don’t need what you came in asking for. I’d rather tell you that than sell you a project you’ll resent paying for.

How I work

Four things you can hold me to.

  • Plain English

No jargon used as a moat. If I can’t explain why something costs what it costs, it probably shouldn’t.

  • Fixed scope, fixed price

You get a written scope before you spend anything. No open-ended hourly billing that quietly doubles.

  • You own it

Your domain, your hosting, your accounts, your code. I’ll manage it if you want, but nothing is held hostage.

  • I answer the phone

Including well after launch, when the thing you need is small and nobody else will bother.

Why Northwest Arkansas

Local enough to meet, experienced enough not to need to.

I work with businesses across Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, Farmington, and Prairie Grove — and remotely with clients well outside Arkansas, which is where a good share of the work still comes from. If you’d rather sit down in person, we can. If you’d rather never have a meeting that could have been an email, that works too.
